In an effort to best utilize its assets, the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District is forming what is referred to as a "7 -11 Committee" to review the Excelsior High School property. If you would like to participate and are qualified, we invite you to apply to be a member of the Committee.
The purpose of the Committee will be to review the Excelsior High School property to determine whether to designate portions of it as "excess" or "surplus" because it will not be needed for school purposes and to make recommendations regarding future development. The Committee will present a report to the Board of Education recommending uses/disposal of the surplus property. This is an important task and the District is looking for highly-qualified, capable, and committed individuals to be members of the Committee.

Committee Meetings and Timeline
The tentative meetings dates are March 17, 2020, April 7, 2020, and April 28, 2020. The meetings will be held in the evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the District Office located at 12820 Pioneer Boulevard, Norwalk, CA 90650.
Committee meetings will be open to the public. Committee members are expected to attend all meetings.
7-11 Committee Membership Recruitment and Application
Members of the Committee serve only on a voluntary basis. The attached recruitment packet includes the application for serving on the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District 7 – 11 Committee and a summary of Conflict of Interest Law for Real Property.
The application submittal deadline is February 28, 2020, at 4:00p.m.
